Why we started
Hi, I’m Josh, cofounder of Ovation Hospice.
I believe hospice care is essential work. Serving in this field for more than a decade, I have been moved by how patients and their families bond in ways they may not have before; a new season makes way for new connections.
It’s wrong for care like this to be monetized as profits-over-people but, unfortunately, I’ve witnessed this mentality over and over again in our industry. The vital component of being present and available for patients and their families loses out to maximizing a flat Medicare payout. I knew there had to be a way to offer a consistently compassionate hospice experience, one that puts people first—always.
We started Ovation Hospice with that vision in mind. To fulfill it, we had two nonnegotiables as we built our team: top-notch quality care and hearts eager to serve. Now, we show up for the families in our care with radical generosity because, well, we can’t imagine it any other way. Thank you for allowing us to come alongside you during this delicate time. We consider it one of life’s greatest privileges.

Ovation Hospice is a Benefit LLC (BLLC), meaning that we chose to become legally registered as a company that creates a “general public benefit,” defined as a “positive impact on society.”
